How the math works

Impressions: Research cited by the Outdoor Advertising Association of America (OAAA) puts a wrapped vehicle at 30,000 to 70,000 views a day. We use 70,000 for Seattle and Eastside driving, 50,000 for suburbs and highways and 30,000 for rural routes, each at 50 miles a day, then scale by the miles you enter. Partial wraps count at 75% and lettering or spot graphics at 40%, because less of the vehicle carries your brand.

Ad value and ROI: We price the same number of impressions at the cost per 1,000 impressions (CPM) of the ad type you compare against, using OAAA figures: billboards $2.18, radio $8.61, magazines $9.35, prime-time TV $17.78 and newspapers $22.95. ROI = (ad value minus wrap investment) divided by wrap investment.

Investment: Ardor's starting price for each vehicle type. Your quote depends on the exact vehicle, coverage and design, and fleets get fleet pricing. Printed wraps last up to 8 years on vertical surfaces, so a 5-year view is a fair middle.

Fleet Wrap ROI Questions

How many people see a wrapped work vehicle?

Research cited by the Outdoor Advertising Association of America (OAAA) puts a wrapped vehicle at 30,000 to 70,000 views a day. The real number depends on where and how far you drive: a van working Seattle and Eastside traffic is seen by far more people than a truck on rural routes. The calculator lets you set both.

How much does a fleet wrap cost in the Seattle area?

At Ardor, full van wraps start around $3,900 and full pickup wraps around $4,000. Partial wraps run about $2,500 to $3,100, lettering starts at $350 and spot graphics start at $615. Box trucks, trailers and food trucks are priced by size. Fleets get fleet pricing, and every quote is free.

Do you offer fleet discounts?

Yes. Fleets get fleet pricing based on how many vehicles you're wrapping and how the rollout is scheduled, and we offer vehicle pick-up and delivery. Tell us about your fleet and we'll send a fleet quote.

How long does a vehicle wrap last?

A professionally installed printed wrap lasts up to 8 years on vertical surfaces like doors and sides, depending on the film and inks. Hoods and roofs get more sun and typically last about 3 years. That's why the calculator starts with a 5-year view.

Are vehicle wraps a better deal than other advertising?

For most local service businesses, yes. A wrap is a one-time cost that keeps advertising every day the vehicle is on the road, while billboard, radio and TV ads stop when you stop paying. OAAA figures put vehicle wraps at about $0.77 per 1,000 impressions, compared with $2.18 for billboards and $8.61 for radio.

How accurate is this ROI calculator?

It's a planning estimate. Impressions use OAAA-cited industry ranges and ad values use average costs per 1,000 impressions, so real results depend on your routes, where you park, your design and your vehicles. The investment uses Ardor's starting prices; your free quote is based on your actual vehicles, coverage and design.
