Tips for a sign people read
- Few big wordsMost signs get a few seconds of attention. Lead with one or two big words, like GRAND OPENING or NOW HIRING.
- One way to reach youShow one phone number or web address in large type. Skip long lists and small print.
- Mind the edgesKeep words and logos at least 1/4 inch from the edge. Holes, grommets and standoffs sit near the edges and corners. The designer shows the safe area, so nothing important gets cut off.
- Pick the material for the placeCoroplast and aluminum signs work outdoors, foam board is for indoor use, magnets go on car doors and acrylic suits an office or lobby wall.

How many designs can I make?
Each time you press Design my sign you get 4 designs to choose from. You can do that 2 times a day for free with no sign-up, or 10 times a day after you add your email. These tries are shared with our other AI design generators. Making designs is free. You only pay if you order printed signs.
Which signs can I design for?
Magnets, coroplast, aluminum sandwich board, acrylic (full white backing, spot white backing or transparent), PVC board, foam board, styrene, GatorFoam and aluminum signs. Pick the material and size, and the AI designs the whole face of the sign.
What sizes can I pick?
Pick a listed size or type your own in inches, from 6 x 6 inches up. We ship sizes up to 48 x 38 inches (magnets up to 96 x 36, styrene up to 96 x 48) free anywhere in the US, or you can pick them up free at our Snohomish shop. Bigger coroplast, aluminum sandwich board, acrylic, PVC, foam board and GatorFoam signs, up to 4 x 8 feet (coroplast up to 5 x 10 feet), are printed in our shop and are pickup only.
Will the design fit my sign?
We design at the shape of the sign you pick and show each design on a picture of that sign. On long or tall signs, more than 3 times wider than tall or the other way around, the AI designs the middle and we fill the plain ends from the design's edges. In the sign designer you see the safe area and any holes, grommets or standoffs, so nothing important gets cut off.
Can I design both sides?
Coroplast, aluminum sandwich board, PVC board, foam board, GatorFoam and aluminum signs can be printed on 2 sides. Pick the side to design. In the sign designer you choose 1 or 2 sides.
What if a word comes out spelled wrong?
Every design is checked for spelling and for your logo, and designs that fail are redone automatically. If a mistake still slips through, tap Fix a word and type the correction. You also review and sign a proof before anything is printed.
Will my logo look exactly like my file?
The AI redraws your logo as part of the design, so small details can change. In the sign designer you can add your original logo file or your photo on top and move or resize it.
What happens after I pick a design?
