Order Custom Prints with an AI Assistant

You can ask an AI assistant (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot and others) to order custom prints from Ardor Printing for you. This page explains how our online designers work, so an assistant can set up the order, add your artwork and get a proof to you. Everything is made by Ardor Printing in Snohomish, WA.

Step 1: Open the right designer

Prices update in each designer as the size and options change.

Step 2: Pick the size and options (optional preset link)

Add ?preset= to a designer link with comma-separated key:value pairs to open it with options already chosen. Examples:

  • Banner, 4 x 2 ft, single-sided: /products/custom-printed-130z-outdoor-banners?preset=w:4,h:2,btn:Single-sided
  • Yard sign, 24 x 18 in, single-sided: /products/custom-yard-signs?preset=size:24x18,sides:1,stake:no,pack:1
  • Flag, single-sided, ground stake: /products/custom-flags?preset=flag:FA-L,sides:1,pole:left,kit:ground-stake

Every product page in our shop also has an "Add to Designer" button that opens the designer with that product's options. Any option can still be changed in the designer.

Step 3: Add the artwork

  • Upload a file in the designer (PNG, JPG, SVG, PDF and, on most designers, AI, EPS, PSD and TIFF).
  • Or paste a link to the artwork in the "Paste a link to your artwork" field. The link must start with https:// and point straight to the file.
  • Or add the link to the designer address with art= (URL-encoded), for example /products/custom-yard-signs?preset=size:24x18,sides:1&art=https%3A%2F%2Fexample.com%2Flogo.png. For event tents, paste the link in the tent designer's Uploads panel instead.
  • If a link can't be opened from our site (some file-sharing services block it): on the banner, yard sign, A-frame, flag, banner stand and canvas designers the order can still go through, and we build the proof from the link and email it for approval before printing. On the table cover, DTF, sticker and tent designers, download the file and upload it instead.
  • Banners and A-frame signs also offer "Have Ardor design it" with a short design brief instead of a file.

Step 4: Approve the proof

The designer shows a proof with the artwork placed on the product. The buyer can:

  • Approve it in the designer with their name, email, phone and a typed signature, or
  • Choose "Email me the proof to approve" and enter their email. The order goes through, we email the proof, and production starts only after the buyer approves it. (Event tents use the in-designer approval.)

The approval always comes from the buyer, not the assistant.

Step 5: Add to cart and check out

After the proof step, add the item to the cart and check out at ardorprinting.com. If an order arrives without artwork, we hold it and email the buyer to send the file.
