What you can design
Everything on the tent is a printable panel, and every panel is yours to design:
- Four canopy sides — each roof peak and its valance print as one piece, so artwork can run from the point of the peak to the bottom edge of the valance. Design them all differently or mirror one side to the rest.
- Full walls — floor-to-eave panels for any side, with a switch for which way the graphic faces: out toward the crowd, or in as a backdrop.
- Half walls — waist-high panels for the 10 ft sides, single- or double-sided; the double-sided version gets two separate designs.
- Tent flags — teardrop or angled feather flags on any leg, in four heights; double-sided flags get a design per side.
- Canopy color and seam strip — any background color per panel (12 presets or any hex value) and a white or black reinforced seam strip.
Text comes in 14 fonts — clean sans-serifs, condensed poster faces, slab and classic serifs, scripts and a marker — with bold and italic where the font has them and any color. Logos and images can be sized, rotated, mirrored and layered, up to 12 layers per panel.
How to design your tent online in 6 steps
The whole thing takes about ten minutes. The builder runs in your browser — nothing to install — and the price updates with every change.
-
Choose your size and package
Open the Product panel and pick 10x10, 10x15 or 10x20, then Canopy + frame or Canopy only. The 3D tent and the price change immediately.
-
Upload your logo or add text
In Uploads, add a JPG, PNG, WebP or SVG (up to 10 MB) and click it to place it on the selected panel; drag, resize or rotate it on the canvas. In Text, add a line of text and pick a font, weight and color. Use Colour to set each panel's background.
-
Mirror one side to the rest
Design the front canopy once, then press Mirror this design at the top of the Uploads or Text panel to copy it to the matching sides — all four on a 10x10, or the matching long and short pairs on a 10x15 or 10x20. Mirror works the same way for walls and flags cut from the same template.
-
Add walls and flags, pick the seam strip
Back in Product, add a full or half wall to any side and a flag to any leg; each one appears on the tent as a new panel you can design. Choose single- or double-sided where offered, set which way a wall's graphic faces, and pick a white or black reinforced strip.
-
Preview in 3D
Click the 3D thumbnail to orbit the full tent, zoom in on any panel and check sight lines from the front, sides, back and above. Click a panel in 3D to select it, then switch back to 2D to edit it. The 3D view is a guide; the proof shows the exact print shapes.
-
Approve your proof and check out
Press Add to cart. The builder renders your proof — two 3D views plus every panel at its print shape — and asks you to sign it. Approve, check out, and your print files are generated and attached to the order. Nothing prints until you've approved the proof.
Artwork specs and file requirements
The builder accepts everyday files and prepares the press-ready print files itself, so you don't need print software — but if you have it, use it: the templates below give designers an exact dieline.
| Spec | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Builder uploads | JPG, PNG, WebP or SVG, up to 10 MB each; up to 12 layers per panel |
| Finished template uploads | The whole template page exported as a JPG or PNG, up to 50 MB; it lines up with the panel automatically |
| Logos | Vector (SVG) prints sharpest at tent size; otherwise the largest PNG or JPG you have |
| Photos | Printed at up to 150 dpi at full size — a 10x10 canopy side is about 119″ × 84″, so use the highest resolution you have |
| Color | Printed in CMYK; very bright RGB screen colors (neon greens, electric blues) shift slightly on fabric |
| Safe zone | Keep text and logos inside the dashed safe zone on each panel; backgrounds should run to the outer edge |
| Text | 14 fonts in the builder (regular and bold, italic where available); your own fonts are fine in a finished template file |
| Proof | Multi-page digital proof with 3D views and every panel, signed before production |
We keep your original uploads with the order and generate press-ready CMYK print files from your approved design, so the printed tent matches the proof.
Free print templates for every panel
Every panel of every size has its own print template — the exact dieline with safe zone and fold marks — and you can download them straight from the builder: open the Uploads panel, find Design in Illustrator or Photoshop, and download the PDF for any canopy side, wall or flag in your current configuration, or grab all templates for this order as one .zip. Design on the template, export the whole page as a JPG or PNG, and upload it on the same row: it snaps onto the panel at the right size.
Templates are sized to the finished panel (a few of the largest panels are drawn at a reduced scale, noted on the template) and include a dashed safe zone; keep logos and text inside it and let backgrounds bleed to the edge.
Design tips that make a tent read from 30 feet
- Lead with the logo on the valance. The valance is at eye level from across a street; the peak is seen from farther away and from above. Put the name on the valance and a simple mark or color on the peak.
- Contrast beats detail. A two-color logo on a solid canopy reads at 30 feet; fine gradients and thin type disappear. Keep thin lines at least a finger's width at full size.
- Think in sight lines. The front faces the aisle; the back wall is what people see from inside the tent and in every photo taken at your booth — give it the message you most want remembered.
- Mirror first, then adjust. Mirror the front to all sides, then change one side to a website or phone number so every angle says something useful.
- Match the rest of your kit. Pull colors from your vehicle wrap, banners and flags so the booth looks like one brand, not four vendors.
- Check it in 3D before you proof. Orbit the tent and look at it from a low angle — that's how customers see it.
Tent builder FAQ
Can I save my design and come back to it later?
Your design lives in the browser tab while you work and is saved with your order — design, signed proof and print files — when you check out. There isn't a save-for-later link yet, so plan to finish in one sitting, or send us your logo and we'll set the design up for you to approve.
Can I send my own print-ready file instead of designing in the builder?
Yes, two ways. Download the panel's template from the builder, design on it in Illustrator, Photoshop or any layout app, export the whole page as a JPG or PNG and upload it on the same row — it lines up automatically. Or send us your files (PDF is fine) and our designers will place them on the templates and send you a proof.
Can I reorder just one panel later, like a replacement wall or canopy?
A replacement canopy top is a regular order: choose Canopy only in the builder. Walls and flags are add-ons to a tent order in the builder, so for a single replacement wall or flag for a tent we've printed, contact us and we'll quote it from the artwork on file with your order.
Does the builder and the 3D preview work on my phone?
Yes — the builder works on phones and tablets, with the tool panels sliding up from the bottom and the 3D preview as a tap-to-open thumbnail. For detailed layouts a laptop or desktop is more comfortable. The 3D view needs WebGL, which every current browser has; if it's unavailable, the 2D editor still works and your proof still includes the 3D views.
Do you check my file before printing?
Yes. Every order gets a prepress check before it goes to print — resolution, safe zones and anything that looks off — and we'll contact you if a file needs attention. You've already approved the signed proof by then, so what's printed is what you saw; we just make sure it prints well.
