Tips for a design that prints well
- Bold and simpleThick lines and solid colors print cleanly. Lines and dots thinner than 0.02 in (0.5 mm) can get lost.
- Think about the shirt colorDark parts of a design can disappear on a dark shirt, and light parts on a white shirt. Check your design on the colors you plan to use.
- The right size for the spotOn the preview a left chest print is 3.5 in wide, a full front 11 in, a full back 12 in and a sleeve 3 in. You can resize it in the designer.
- Check the edgesAI designs have a transparent background, so only the design prints. Look at the edges on a dark shirt before you order.

Each time you press Design my shirt you get 4 designs. You can do that 2 times a day for free with no sign-up, or 10 times a day after you add your email. These tries are shared with our AI sticker generator. Making designs is free. You only pay if you order transfers.
What is a DTF transfer?
DTF means direct to film. Your design is printed in full color on a clear film, with a white layer behind the colors and an adhesive that melts in a heat press. You press it onto your shirt and peel off the film. Only the design goes on the shirt, with no box or background around it.
Do you print the shirts too?
No. We print the transfers and you press them onto your own shirts. The shirt on this page is a preview.
Will the background print?
No. Each AI design has a transparent background, so only the design prints. The preview starts on a black shirt so you can check the edges. You can check them again in the designer before you order.
Can I use my own logo or photo?
The AI can't copy a file. Describe a logo or photo idea and it draws something new. To print your exact logo or photo, upload it in our DTF transfer designer. It can remove a plain background for you.
Which shirt colors can I preview?
White, black, heather gray, charcoal, navy, royal blue, red, maroon, forest green, kelly green, gold and pink. Colors on a screen can look different from the printed transfer and your shirt.
How do I press a DTF transfer?
General guidance: heat press at 290 to 320°F with medium pressure (35 to 50 PSI). Pre-press the shirt for 5 to 7 seconds. Press the transfer for 10 to 20 seconds, let it cool, then peel the film. Press again for 5 to 7 seconds with a teflon sheet on top. Follow the heat settings for your shirt.
What if a word comes out wrong?
Tap the design, type the fix under Want a change? and press Change it. You also review and sign a proof before we print anything.
What happens after I pick a design?
